News Desk: Fascism matters in politics  but never ever brought anything good for any nation in the past. It was during the periods of 1919-945 the world experienced the rise of Fascism by Mussolini in Italy and by Hitler in Germany.Both the Fascist leaders appeared in the horizons of world politics and became the causes of huge sufferings of mankind in the universe and left  nothing but destructions all over the world . It has also left permanent wounds in history and the people of the whole world will never forget it.

We have also experienced a similar fascist regime twice in the history of Bangladesh.We saw the first Fascist regime to appear in the politics of newly born Bangladesh during the time of Sk Mujib(1972-1975)in the name of so -called democracy and ultra Nationalism.

The  Era of Sk Mujib started with a fascist style of killing people indiscriminately and persecuted his  opponents with iron hands.He did not even hesitate to show his excitement after killing the opponent.  The JSD a newly born radical political party including all other nominal political parties were his targets of elimination.
At the later part of his short regime in early 1975 he created a fascist political party and banned all other political parties in Bangladesh.

All his political actions  during his rule were just like a fascist leader.He restricted the freedom of expression and banned all printing papers except only four to go for printing.With the direct Indian help and aid he created a strong  para military force  trained by India to eliminate opponents in a broad day light.A few thousand radicalits were killed during his periods.The existing Bangladesh Army ,the pride of the nation,were kept under keen observation.

But nothing could stop the fall of his tyrannical rule and a civil- military coup headed by his most obedient and closest political associate Khandakar Mushtaq brought the sudden fall of Mujib's rule.Mr Khandakar Mushtaq was known as a  most trusted and long time ally of the USA.Mujib and his whole family members, except his two daughters who were outside the country,were brutally killed.Thus the fascist regime regime of Sk Mujib came to an end.

With the Indian intervention, a military coup put an end to the short government of Mustaq after a period of only three months.But the Sepoy- Janata rightly had overthrown the pro-Indian Military government only after three days.The Sepoy- Janata led revolution brought Ziaur Rahman, who made historic declaration of Independence and later  became a famous  war hero, to power and they saved the country from Indian Hegemonic Politics. But the assassination of  Ziaur Rahman in mid 1981 through a pro-Indian Military Coup ended the most popular government of  Bangladesh.

It was during this time Bangladesh experienced true Independence and rule of law in the country and people still remember the periods of Ziaur Rahman as a golden period in the history of Bangladesh.

With a gap of a few years the Indian Hegemonic Politics again came back through Moinuddin -Fakaruddin Government in early 2007.India with the help of  Moinuddin -Fakaruddin Government brought Awami League to power again.

The first joint operations of Indo- Hasina power was the historic BDR Carnage and through it they gave clear  massage to people of Bangladesh about their strength.Sk Hasina appeared as an iron lady and started taking steps one after another to establish an autocratic government with the direct support of India.

India took advantage, and quickly made themselves as master of everything in the Bangladesh.India gave Hasina free cheque and full support to become a fascist ruler in course of time and India became the de- facto ruler of Bangladesh.

The government of Sk Hasina with the encouragement of India  became very firm to establish her rule as permanent and she took all necessary steps to turn all government institutions as her party institutions and never not cared the interests  of the people.Slowly and gradually Hasina started turning herself as a fascist ruler having all the characteristics of a fascist regime.About hundred Muslims,in the name of so called fundamentalists,were killed at night in Dhaka(Shapla Chattar).some time in 2013.Besides many other Muslims were also killed in the name of terrorists during her time.About thousand people went missing at her direct instructions.

She was apparently successful in her mission by killing top most leaders of Jamat e Islami and by persecution of huge number of  leaders and workers of both BNP and Jamat e Islami. Both the political parties were controlled in the fascist manner. Jamat e Islami was the worst sufferer.They couldn't  even allowed to have indoor meeting and social gatherings.

She did it boldly against the opinions of the whole world and was least bothered about everything around her and her only concern was to fulfill the illegal demands of her master India.Lastly she became very much desperate to establish her family as a permanent ruler of Bangladesh.

It is part of history that no fascist regime lasts long and ultimately it has to embrace the fall one day and so was the fate of Hasina.The July -August Revolution 2024 has brought the historic fall of Fascist Hasina and forced her to take shelter in her master's house. And that's the end of a fascist regime into Bangladesh.
But for the people of Bangladesh this is not the end of games here and may have to face more difficult situations in the near future.The nation should remain always prepared to face it unitedly.

সরকারি চাকরিতে ‘মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কোটা’ নিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দেওয়া বক্তব্য প্রত্যাহারের দাবিতে রাজু ভাস্কর্যের সামনে অবস্থান নিয়েছেন কোটাবিরোধী আন্দোলনকারীরা। আজ সোমবার দুপুর সোয়া ১২টার দিকে তারা অবস্থান নিয়েছে। বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র সমাজের সমন্বয়ক মো. মাহিন বলেন, আজকে আমাদের আন্দোলন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য প্রত্যাহার করতে হবে। সেই সঙ্গে অতিদ্রুত সংসদে আইন তুলে কোটা সংস্কার পাস করতে হবে। কোটা সংস্কার ও প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য প্রত্যাহারের দাবিতে রাজু ভাস্কর্যের সামনে আয়োজিত সমাবেশে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীরাও অংশ নিয়েছেন। এসময় তারা প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য প্রত্যাহারের আহ্বান জানান। এসময় শিক্ষার্থীদের 'কোটা না মেধা, মেধা মেধা', 'চেয়েছিলাম অধিকার হয়ে গেলাম রাজাকার', 'এসো ভাই এসো বোন, গড়ে তুলি আন্দোলন', 'ঢাবি ভয় নাই, রাজপথ ছাড়ি নাই', 'শিক্ষার্থীরা ভয় নাই, রাজপথ ছাড়ি নাই', 'তুমি নও আমিও নই, রাজাকার রাজাকার', 'কে রাজাকার কে রাজাকার, তুই রাজাকার, তুই রাজাকার'সহ বিভিন্ন স্লোগান দিতে শোনা যায়। এর আগে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর দেওয়া বক্তব্যের জেরে রবিবার মাঝরাতে উত্তপ্ত হয়ে ওঠে দেশের অধিকাংশ পাবলিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ক্যাম্পাস। সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীরা মিছিল নিয়ে হল থেকে বের হয়ে স্লোগানে স্লোগানে উত্তাপ ছড়িয়ে পড়ে প্রতিটি স্কুল, কলেজ ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিজয় একাত্তর হলগেটে আটকে রাখা শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্ধার করতে গিয়ে হামলার শিকার হন আসিফ মাহমুদ। বিষয়টি সামাজিক যোগাযোগে ছড়িয়ে পড়ার সাথে সাথে হল থেকে একের পর এক বেরিয়ে আসতে থাকেন সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীরা। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উত্তপ্ত এ পরিস্থিতির ঢেউ লাগে দেশের প্রায় সব বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে। সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীরা হল থেকে বের হয়ে অবস্থান নিতে থাকে রাজপথে। কোটাবিরোধী বিভিন্ন স্লোগানে মুখরিত হয়ে ওঠতে থাকে ক্যাম্পাসগুলো। সূত্র: বিডি প্রতিদিন

ফুটবলে দীর্ঘদিনের স্বপ্ন বাস্তবেরূপ নিলো জিদান মিয়ার তার স্বপ্ন ছিল ইউরোপের কোনো দলে খেলার। তার সেই স্বপ্ন পূরণ হতে চলছে। প্রথম বাংলাদেশি হিসেবে লা লিগার দল রায়ো ভায়েকানোর হয়ে খেলার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন ইংল্যান্ডে জন্ম নেয়া বাংলাদেশী বংশোদ্ভূত এই খেলোয়াড়। ইতিমধ্যে দলটির সঙ্গে চুক্তি করেছেন ক্ষিপ্রগতির এই ফুটবলার।

জিদানের খেলার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন তার দল রায়ো ভায়েকানো। ইনস্টাগ্রামে এক পোস্টে তারা জানায়, ‘ লা লিগায় প্রথম বাংলাদেশি হিসেবে জিদান মিয়াকে চুক্তি করতে পেরে আমরা আনন্দিত। চুক্তির আগে রায়ো ভায়েকানোর অ্যাকাডেমি আবাসিকে ২ মাস ছিল জিদান। সেখান থেকে ট্রায়ালে সুযোগ পায়। ট্রায়াল থেকে নির্বাচিত হন।

সত্তরের দশকে লন্ডনে পাড়ি জমান জিদানের বাবা-মা সুফিয়ান মিয়া ও শিপা মিয়া। ২০০১ সালে লন্ডনের নিকটবর্তী শহর কেন্টে জন্মগ্রহন করেন জিদান। তাদের বাংলাদেশের বাড়ি মৌলভীবাজার উপজেলার রাজনগরে। তরুণ এই ফুটবলারের স্বপ্ন ইউরোপের সেরা লিগে খেলার পাশাপাশি পিতৃভূমি বাংলাদেশের হয়ে খেলবেন। বল পায়ে তেজি ভঙ্গি আর দারুণ গতি জিদানকে এগিয়ে দিয়েছে বারবার। দৈহিক ক্ষিপ্রতা, শৃঙ্খলা আর ফুটবলার হয়ে উঠার প্রবল ইচ্ছাশক্তির কারণেই তার এই সাফল্য।

জিদান খেলেছেন যুক্তরাজ্যের বিভিন্ন একাডেমিভিত্তিক টুর্নামেন্টে, খেলেছেন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের এফসি ডালাস অনূর্ধ ১৫ দলে। বিশ্বের অন্যতম নামী অ্যাথলেটিকস প্রশিক্ষণকেন্দ্র মাইকেল জনসন পারফরম্যান্স সেন্টারে করেছেন অনুশীলন। ২০১৬ সালে এশিয়ান ফুটবল অ্যাওয়ার্ডস আসরে ফুটবলের উদীয়মান তারকা হিসেবে জিদান পান ‘স্পেশাল রিকগনিশন অ্যাওয়ার্ডস’। কখনো বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় দলে ডাক পেলে খেলবেন জিদান মিয়া।

স্পেনের ঘরোয়া ফুটবলের দ্বিতীয় বিভাগ থেকে সর্বোচ্চ আসর লা লিগায় প্রমোশন পাওয়া রায়ো ভায়েকানোর হয়ে সম্প্রতি অনুশীলন করেন জিদান। ট্রায়াল উতরে যাওয়ার পর অবশেষে চুক্তিবদ্ধ হন তিনি।
